.33 L Fuel Surge Tank (Also Called Swirl Tank, Swirl Pot, Fuel Tank) Control Industries Inc. Surge Tank is designed to maintain fuel system efficiency by preventing fluctuations in fuel pressure under high “G” loads (acceleration, de-acceleration, or severe cornering). By allowing the fuel returned from the regulator to be reintroduced into the system instead of being routed back to the tank, you maintain a steady fuel supply free from surges. You also create a fuel supply point to making it easier to attach your high volume fuel pump feed line. Cylinder design prevents sloshing by swirling the fuel around inside the tank. All fumes / vapors and excess fuel are returned to the tank via the fitting at the top of the Surge Tank. A new –8 AN Supply Line from the High Flow Pump to the Engine is recommended. Then use the factory Supply Line as your new Return Line.
